This procedure explains how to add a carrier account, set its defaults, and test the connection before generating labels.

Prerequisites #
- You have permission to administer shipping services.
- Your carrier contract is active and you have received its online service credentials.
- You know which label format, product code, and sender address to use.
- If several entities ship orders, you know the MerchantKey associated with this account.
Important. Fields vary by carrier. Credentials, webservice keys, addresses, contacts, and passwords must never appear in a published illustration.
Add the carrier account #
- Open Shipping > Shipping services. The page lists the shipping services already configured.
- Select Add shipping account. AtomicSeller displays the available carrier connectors.
- Choose the carrier. Select the connector that matches your contract.
- Define the service key. Enter a unique, short, stable SHIPPINGSERVICEKEY.
- Associate the shipping entity. Select the MerchantKey when the account uses more than one entity.
- Enter the credentials. Complete the account number, contract, user, password, or webservice key required by the carrier.
- Set the defaults. Choose the label format, service or product code, weight, and any useful return or signature options.
- Review the sender address. Check company, address, postal code, city, country, telephone, contact, and email.
- Save the account. Select Save.
- Test the connection. Select Check connection and resolve any error before processing a live order.
Best practices #
- Create a different service key for each carrier account or shipping entity.
- Use the label format required by the production printer.
- After changing credentials, save and run Check connection again.
- Test with a fictitious order before go-live.
Expected result. The service appears in Shipping services, its connection check succeeds, and it can be selected in the Delivery tab of an order.
Troubleshooting #
The connection check fails. Review the user, password, webservice key, contract status, and any network restrictions.
The service is missing from an order. Check the MerchantKey, service key, store shipping rules, and user permissions.
The product code is rejected. Use a product enabled on the contract and compatible with the destination, weight, and requested options.
The label format is wrong. Choose a connector-supported format that matches the printer before generating the label again.
